Learn How to Speak Up! Join our Housing Justice & Human Services Advocacy Training
Wednesday, September 24th, 6:00 - 7:30 pm
IN PERSON at Solid Ground (1501 N 45th St, Seattle, WA 98103) Cheryl Cobbs Murphy Room
Join the Seattle Human Services Coalition (SHSC), the Seattle/King County Coalition on Homelessness (SKCCH), and Poverty Action for an IN-PERSON housing justice & human services advocacy training at Solid Ground in Wallingford. We will have food to share.
This training is open to anyone who wants to raise their voice to make sure Seattle, King County, and all levels of government pass policies and budgets that support people experiencing homelessness and housing instability. You'll learn different ways to make your voice heard (it's easy!), how to help someone else speak up, and get a chance to practice different ways to take action. We will have a special focus on the upcoming budget season in Seattle and King County.
This training is for you if you:
-
- Live or work in Seattle or King County and care about homelessness or human services
- Are accessing housing, shelter, or other human services to help meet your basic needs
- Work at an organization that serves people experiencing poverty or homelessness
- Are a seasoned advocate, or if you've never done advocacy before!
Questions? Email Hali.
Can't make it to the in-person training? We are also offering another ONLINE Budget Advocacy Training on October 3rd at 12:00 - 1:30 PM - click here to register! Make sure to register even if you can't attend - we will share a recording after the training.
