Join the Seattle/King County Coalition on Homelessness (SKCCH) for an IN-PERSON (required) training for Voter Rights Volunteers at the Burien Publlic Library. We will have food to share.
This training is open to anyone who wants to help people have their voices heard, and help break down the barriers that often limit peoples right to vote! You'll learn about how to engage in conversaton about common mis-conceptions surrounding voting access for people with felony convistions, and help make registration easy for indiviuals without a traditional mailing address.
This training is for you if you:
- Live or work in Seattle or King County and care about homelessness and a representative democarcy.
- Want to help get people registered to vote & understand the voting process
- Are interested in engagment beyond tabling; We often have conversatons with individuals who still believe they are not alowed to vote due to a past felony conviction. As well as other conversations ranging from the impacts of local voting, to how to vote without a traditional address.
- Are a seasoned advocate, or if you've never done voting rights advocacy before!
