Learn How to Speak Up! Join our Online Housing Justice & Human Services Advocacy Training

Thursday, October 1st, 2026 at 12:00 - 1:30 PM PST

ONLINE on Zoom - Register to receive the meeting link and recording after the training

NOTE: This online event will focus on the Seattle AND King County budgets.

Join the Seattle Human Services Coalition (SHSC), the Seattle/King County Coalition on Homelessness (SKCCH), and Poverty Action for an online housing justice & human services advocacy training!

This training is open to anyone who wants to raise their voice to make sure Seattle, King County, and all levels of government pass policies and budgets that support people experiencing homelessness and housing instability. You'll learn different ways to make your voice heard (it's easy!), how to help someone else speak up, and get a chance to practice different ways to take action. We will have a special focus on the upcoming budget season in Seattle and King County.

This training is for you if you:

    • Live or work in Seattle or King County and care about homelessness or human services
    • Are accessing housing, shelter, or other human services to help meet your basic needs
    • Work at an organization that serves people experiencing poverty or homelessness
    • Are a seasoned advocate, or if you've never done advocacy before!

Questions? Email Hali.

Make sure to register even if you can't attend - we will share a recording after the training.
